General online booking terms

Booking and payment:

When booking a holiday apartment via online booking the full amount is – as a rule – paid at the time of booking.

Please note: The minimum age for the guest making the booking is 18 years.

On booking more than 60 days prior to arrival and/or booking of long-term stays, group reservations etc, it is possible to make arrangements for a shorter payment deadline with payment of the full amount no later than 60 days before arrival, by contacting Hotel Skibssmedien Skagen (info@hotelskibssmedien.dk / phone +(45) 9844 6716).

Cancellation:

For cancellations made no later than 60 days before arrival, the full amount will be refunded with a deduction of DKK 300,- for banking fees and administration per each booked apartment.

For cancellations made between 60 and 14 days before arrival, two thirds of the pre-paid amount will be refunded. No further refunds are possible after this date.

Changing a reservation:

Significant changes to the pre-paid reservation made less than 60 days before arrival will be treated in the same way as cancellations as per the above terms.

Cancellation protection:

It is possible to purchase a cancellation protection at the time of booking.

The cancellation protection ensures that the pre-paid amount will be refunded in case of cancellation or interruption of your stay due to sudden illness, accidents or deaths that befall the guests or the guest’s immediate family. Cancellation protection costs 5% of the total rent and must be ordered and paid at the same time as the booking of the stay. In case of cancellation / interruption of your stay, proper documentation must be presented to the hotel if so requested.

Force majeure:

In case of force majeure, the lease may be suspended by the guest as well as by the hotel.

Pets:

Pets are not allowed.

Responsibility of the guest:

Guests are obligated to respect the rules of conduct that apply to Skibssmedien Apartments and Hotel Skibssmedien Skagen, including rules concerning the use of the apartment’s furniture and equipment.

Any damages caused by guests during their stay are to be paid for by the guests before departure.

The apartment may only be occupied by the number of persons stated on the price list, unless extra beds have been booked in advance.

Arrival and departure:

Arrival from 15:00 until 18:00 or by further agreement.

Departure no later than 11:00

Cleaning:

Daily cleaning is done by the guests as needed.

Final cleaning at the time of departure is done by the hotel.

Complaints:

Any complaints must be submitted without delay to the hotel reception.
